Social Media Training for Schools
Social media offers schools a fantastic opportunity to build their reputation, but needs to be handled carefully to protect the interests of the school’s staff and students.
We deliver hands-on social media training for schools, which is tailored to your school and the level of knowledge your staff currently have. By delivering it in school, you save on venue hire and travel time for your staff, plus it enables the trainer to get to know your school.
Each workshop is tailored to the needs of your school, but would usually include:
- Strengths and weaknesses of different social media platforms
- Developing a Social Media Policy and Strategy
- Security and privacy settings on social media
- What to share on social media?
- Building friends and followers
- Managing negative or inappropriate comments
- Scheduling posts on social media
- Easy ways of editing and creating images
- Daily and weekly planning
- Integrating social media with other marketing activities
- Measuring the results
For each of the platforms – Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram and YouTube – we will look at:
- Setting up your accounts
- Its features and how to get the best from them
- Apps which help with the management of each platform
- Learning from good and poor examples of their use

Andrew George, Head Teacher, South Wolds Academy
"The workshop was extremely practical, ‘hands on’ and relevant to our business. Beryl was always able to answer our specific questions or demonstrate particular techniques ‘on the hoof’. We were immediately able to put what had learned into practice, noticing a much greater level and quality of Social Media activity."
Steve Harrison, Managing Director, Deli & Dine Ltd
“Ridgeway Marketing have marketed our business right from the very beginning and elevated our company name and brand into the upper echelons of the market that we operate in. Beryl is highly professional, calm and collected, especially when under pressure with a large volume of marketing tasks. I would strongly recommend Beryl and Ridgeway Marketing to any company looking to outsource their marketing for an affordable, professional and highly valued service. “
Darren Toms, Managing Director, Clumber Consultancy Ltd
“When we set up our micro-brewery we had plenty of business experience, but none of marketing or PR. Beryl helped us structure our website, write the copy and plan a launch event. She also wrote news releases and articles which got us coverage in both the local press and national real ale magazines, all of which helped quickly establish the brewery’s name in the area.”
Mary Easterbrook, Pheasantry Brewery
“We use a combination of high profile events and email campaigns to promote Insolvency Squared. Beryl works with us to design and write the regular Mailchimp email campaigns. Although I know what I want to say, I struggle to find the right words - she finds the right tone of voice to talk to our market, and I get great response rates and feedback from potential clients.”
Karyn Jones, Managing Director, Insolvency Squared
"I've just received the digital copy of the Grocer, and just have a look at the coverage we received!! It's great! Great job on the press release :)"
Anu Sharma, Holy Cow! Sauces

Beryl takes time before each course to find out about her delegates and really tailors the course to their specific needs, with tremendous success. Beryl we are lucky to have you as a friend of the forum!"
