Marketing Training for Creative Businesses
Helping creative businesses improve their marketing
We have worked with a number of organisations to support creative businesses with specialised marketing training, which has been very well received.
As a creative business, you’re passionate about what you do and your energy is channelled into making, designing and exploring new techniques. That doesn’t leave much time for marketing your work!
And perhaps you just don’t know where to start – should you be exhibiting at galleries, shows, exhibitions, and craft fairs, or getting press coverage and optimising your website?
What clients say about our training
We have facilitated marketing training for groups of artists and crafts people to help them promote and sell their work. These can be one-off sessions, or courses running for half a day over 6 weeks. Here is some of the feedback we have received:
“Creatives and business training can be a difficult partnership but the friendly yet gently persuasive, non judgemental approach of Beryl Pettitt and Trevor Sparks and has been pivotal in bonding the group, forming friendships and developing an open atmosphere. They have understood the difficulties that artists face when confronted with business issues, and we’ve all benefited tremendously. I would urge anyone trying to make a living in the arts to undertake such training, and would recommend Beryl and Trevor without hesitation. We could all too easily have been ‘turned off’ by the wrong approach. They got the pitch just right!” Magie Hollingworth, paper and textile artist.
“Most certainly the course exceeded anything I imagined – the easy, personal approach made it easy to participate” Bridget Flemming, photographer.
“All of the work exceeded given targets, was of very high quality, and was organised and delivered professionally and on time. Feedback from participants was extremely good and you were careful to run lively, interactive sessions, directly addressing the stated needs of participants.” Kate Foale, Enterprise Development Team, Nottinghamshire County Council, following the completion of the Nottinghamshire Collection networking and training project.
