How does a Marketing Mentor work?

You meet your mentor monthly for one or two hours to discuss where you are at and what your goals are. By combining your mentor’s knowledge and expertise with a series of questions to really get you thinking, a strategy is agreed for you to action, with the on-going support of your mentor. An outside, independent view point helps to give a different perspective, new approaches, and a clear focus on the actions needed to improve your business. All of our mentors are selected for their marketing experience, their professional qualifications and their ability to communicate. Mailchimp Email Marketing Workshop in Nottingham

Mailchimp Email Marketing Workshop Hands-on Mailchimp Training in Nottingham – Friday 7th September 2018 Are you in a muddle with Mailchimp? Or never tried email marketing but want to get to grips with it? If so, this hands-on workshop will teach you the basic principles of email marketing, and how to create your own email marketing campaigns with Mailchimp. Aimed at beginners, it will focus on the features available in the free version of Mailchimp. We will be covering: building your list and importing it into Mailchimp GDPR and permission based emails using templates and adding content to them personalising your emails measuring the results and following up improving open rates and click throughs You will create your own email marketing campaign with Mailchimp on the day, then practice sending it out, and understanding Reports in Mailchimp. The workshop price includes support after the day by phone or email, in case you get stuck! This workshop will be held at the NBV Enterprise Centre, 6 David Lane, Nottingham NG6 0JU.  The Enterprise Centre is next to David Lane tram stop so is easily accessible by public transport, and has free parking too. Tea and coffee will be available from 9am, and the workshop will start at 9.30am and end at 12.30pm. Here are some of the members of our marketing team.     Beryl PettittRidgeway Marketing was founded by Beryl Pettitt, who has worked in marketing for over 25 years. Her experience spans both the corporate environment and running her own business. She understands the needs and pressures of managing a business, so clients find her advice both practical and affordable. Ridgeway Marketing draws on the experience of a network of trainers and mentors, all under the guidance of Beryl Pettitt. Our team of mentors and trainers enables us to offer marketing mentoring and training across the UK .Yvonne McAdamHaving worked in PR, Marketing and Communications for over a decade, Yvonne has extensive knowledge of the marketing channels required to reach different audiences and increase business. Her experience spans PR Consultant roles for leisure and consumer clients with London agencies, to in-house Marketing Manager roles with small restaurant groups, and Public Communications Manager for IKEA in the UK. Yvonne’s career has included product launches for Virgin Vie, store openings for Hugo Boss and Bang & Olufsen, and being PR spokesperson on BBC News. She holds a BA Hons degree in Psychology and is trained to Masters level as a Business and Personal Coach.Trevor SparksHaving worked in sales and in a number of senior marketing positions, Trevor has gained extensive experience in getting products to market and maximising commercial opportunities. He has worked with small businesses and corporates at strategic level and in a hands on capacity. He has run his own business specialising in copywriting, design and print. Trevor has an BSc Hons degree, Diploma in Management Studies and a Diploma in Marketing.Naomi JohnsonNaomi is our video and Facebook marketing specialist. She studied Biochemistry at University, then worked in the NHS for a number of years, acquiring an MSc along the way. Despite her scientific background, Naomi enjoys writing and has an eye for correct spelling and grammar! Her small business experience includes running a boarding cattery for over 10 years, and breeding pedigree cats. As a self-confessed "geek", Naomi really enjoys web design and social media, and now works as a social media and video consultant. She has training experience from her NHS career as a Biomedical Scientist, and puts this to good use advising businesses on social media strategy and blogging.
