I graduated with a degree in Modern Languages and Economic Studies from Newcastle upon Tyne Polytechnic in 1984. Following this I studied part time for the Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma, and worked in my first marketing role.
In 1987 I started work at APV Baker (formerly Baker Perkins) as a marketing assistant, progressing to the position of Divisional Marketing Executive. During the nine years I worked at this leading international supplier of process equipment to the food industry, I gained wide experience of international marketing and food markets. I also started teaching marketing part time at Peterborough Regional College and in 1995, I completed a MA in Marketing.
My Clients include APV Baker • Design Factory • Food & Drink Forum • Leatherhead Food International • Mintel • Marketing For Growth • Nottinghamshire County Council • The Prince’s Trust • University of Nottingham.
